What would you describe as your area of expertise?
I work with clients and stakeholders closely to develop and deliver strategic reform. I am experienced in driving large scale transformation programs, using robust project management methodologies to ensure they have a lasting impact on the way care is delivered.
Which projects are you most proud of (and why)?
I am proud of the achievements made to date on the NSW Integrated Care Strategy, particularly the progress of the Local Health Districts and Specialty Health Networks. As the relationship lead within NSW Ministry of Health I saw the way LHDs and SHNs were changing first-hand and already making a difference to patient’s lives through better collaboration between their primary care partners and utilising innovative eHealth solutions. If the progress continues this way, we will see a very different health system in 10 years’ time and it does make me proud knowing I was able to be a part of it.
What are you currently working on?
I am currently working with the NSW Ministry of Health to develop and implement a new governance model for NGO Contract Management. The solution will be a new and innovative way for managing NGO contracts in NSW, focused on strategic purchasing to deliver better value and outcomes.
What is your Big Hairy Audacious Goal?
I would love to walk the Pacific Crest Trail (or at least part of it!), à la Cheryl Strayed’s Wild.
