What would you describe as your area of expertise?

From a young age, I have loved computer games - the competitiveness, the constant of change, and the importance of efficiency. These underlying concepts stuck with me and led me to pick up majors in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems and Operations & Supply chain management. Each of these majors had an overarching theme, the power and potential of data.

Data analysis allows the quantitative to match and support the qualitative. I hope that by providing a strong analytical pillar, it would empower our teams to push through and realise their ideas and solutions.

How would you describe working for Francis Health?

Time really flies. It is a privilege to be working along and learning from so many amazing, passionate and talented people focused on making a difference. The level of energy and support is ridiculously high and reflects Francis Health’s approach of delivering fast and consistent results.

What are you currently working on?

I am fortunate to have the opportunity to work on improving patient flow at Waikato DHB. Currently, I provide analytical support across four workstream initiatives to identify the results of our rapid cycle implementations.

In particular, I have been supporting a project on reinvigorating a post-acute convalescent care pathway. It has been incredible working with a such an experienced and passionate internal team that has focused their energy into improving the patient journey.

It is a pleasure to visibly see the differences, both in the data analysis and from the feedback. I can’t wait to see the long-lasting effects of everyone’s efforts on each project and subsequently, on the healthcare sector.

What is your Big Hairy Audacious Goal?

To bite off more than I can chew on my way to becoming a senior consultant.
