The NSW Integrated Care Strategy is a large scale transformation program for NSW Health in achieving seamless, efficient and effective care.  Francis Health played a pivotal role in providing high level program management, business analysis and stakeholder engagement throughout the Strategy.

Delivering truly integrated care is a strategic priority for NSW Health with an investment of $180 million over six years to implement innovative, locally led models of integrated care across the State. One of the key focuses of the NSW Integrated Care Strategy is also delivering technology that connects different information technology systems and data across NSW and advocates for the use of more innovative technology to deliver improved patient experiences and outcomes, and better health service delivery for clinicians.

Our tailored approach

With knowledge and experience in the integrated care space, Francis Health provided expert resources in NSW Ministry of Health and eHealth NSW to support the implementation of the Integrated Care Strategy.

Program management and governance support was provided to the NSW Ministry of Health during a critical time for the Strategy.

With a distributed governance model involving different areas of the Ministry, the Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI), eHealth NSW and all the funded Demonstrator and Innovator sites, strong relationship management skills were employed by Francis Health to ensure the Strategy achieved its intended aims.  A Program Stocktake was also delivered as part of the engagement highlight the successes and achievements to date across the Strategy and inform future direction and decision-making.

Business analysis and stakeholder engagement services were also provided to eHealth NSW’s Integrated Care team, leading projects around eReferrals and Shared Care Planning. These projects spanned across NSW and included stakeholders such as Far West LHD, Murrumbidgee LHD, Royal North Shore Hospital and Sydney Children’s Hospital Network.

Francis Health were responsible for the creation and ongoing development of a set of Functional Requirement Specifications and solution evaluation frameworks that encapsulated the requirements for both eReferrals and Shared Care Planning projects.  These specifications served as a framework for evaluating vendor solutions and their capacity to deliver each of the LHD’s requirements in the future.

Francis Health has also provided skilled consultants within Western Sydney and Western NSW LHDs in the past to support their operational management and eHealth strategy development.
