What would you describe as your area of expertise?

Operations management. Before joining Francis Health, I worked for a large Sydney hospital in an operations management role. This exposed me to day-to-day facility management, short- and long-term strategic planning as well as working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. I was strongly involved in active ops management, financial recovery planning and management, workforce planning, risk management and service design, collaborating closely with the facility General Manager and Executive.

Which projects are you most proud of (and why)?

I project managed a (very) rapid refurbishment, furnishing and commissioning of an inpatient ward. I’m proud of this project because the deadline was tight, and resources were limited. After a lot of stressful days and long nights it was extremely rewarding to see the first patient be wheeled in!

How would you describe working for Francis Health?

Constant new challenges, there’s always a lot to do or learn. It’s great working in a team with a diverse range of talents and being a part of a skilled and supportive team has taught me a lot in a short period of time. It’s exciting to see a smaller team with such impressive set of skills and expertise to learn from and work alongside.

What are you currently working on?

I’m currently working on an acute flow program at Nepean Hospital near the Blue Mountains. This project has allowed me to work closely with their Emergency Department teams to build new solutions and implement new ideas to improve the acute patient flow.
